Professor Brian Jolly

On March 1st 1999 Professor Jolly became a Professor of Medical Education in the newly formed Department of Medical Education at the University of Sheffield. On October 1st  2001, Professor Jolly became an international Consultant to Monash Medical School and on January 29th 2002, he became the Professor of Medical Education and Director, Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education.

Brian is interested in all aspects of medical education, particularly in research on the evaluation of new assessment methods, student-centred learning methods, and using community-based settings.

 

Professor Clark Blaine Hazlett

 

Professor of Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong
Professor Emeritus, Public Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, The University of Alberta

He was the principal instructor for over 130 faculty enhancement workshops for topics covering research methods, Evidence-based Medicine, grant writing, teaching enhancement and student assessment run in North America, Europe, Australia, Asia, Middle East and Africa

He was nominated by student graduates as Canada’s University Teacher of the Year in 1980 in the University of Alberta.
He is the founder and Chair of IDEAL (International Database for Enhanced Assessments & Learning).

His main interest in medical education is assessment. But he has also published papers on curriculum planning and methods of teaching.
 

 Professor Gboyega A. Ogunbanjo

 

 

 

Professor Ogunbanjo is the Director for Research and Partnerships at the University of Limpopo, Medunsa Campus.  Professor Ogunbanjo is responsible for the administration, promotion and coordination of research activities in the Health Science Faculty (Medunsa Campus) and coordination of linkages between the Medunsa Campus and other research institutions within and outside South Africa.

Professor Ogunbanjo is interested in development of distance learning programmes as well as curriculum design and evaluation.

 

Professor John Spencer

Professor Spencer had a very broad educational experience for the past 25 years including, undergraduate medical, vocational training for general practice, continuing professional development, multi-disciplinary, paramedic, pharmacy, post-basic nursing, staff development, on-line education, and facilitation of team building in primary care. Professor Spencer has been a communication skills leader for 15 years, coordinator of the Personal and Professional Development Strand in Newcastle u/g curriculum for 11 years, and convenor of the Faculty staff development programme for 10 years.

 

Professor Mohammed Al-Shehri

 

Professor Mohammed Al-Shehri is an eminent figure in Medical Education in Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the founding committee of the Saudi Medical Education Society.  Professor Al-Shehri is also a professor of Surgery at King Saud University, Riyadh. 

 

 

Professor Timothy Dornan

Professor Dornan is the Director of Medical Education in Hope Hospitals, Manchester, United Kingdom.  Professor Dornan is interested in research and identification of best evidence in Medical Education.   He also introduces a novel curriculum design and established basic education of other health professionals, and in-service education in the hospital.
